Festive Fall Fun at Carnes Crossroads!

The lazy days of summer have passed and a festive Fall season is well underway at Carnes Crossroads. This is the time of year when Lowcountry residents are presented with a dizzying array of options for outdoor entertainment and fun. Virtually every weekend is packed with festive events. This is the perfect time of year to enjoy an outside movie, and the City of Goose Creek has two Outdoor Movie Nights planned at Carnes Crossroads in the coming weeks. Bring the family and join us Saturday, September 28 for a screening of “Secret Life of Pets 2,” and again on November 9 when they’ll show “Mary Poppins Returns” on the big screen. On Saturday, Oct. 5 the She Tris Sprint Triathlon for girls and women returns to Carnes Crossroads for the third year. This event combines a swim, bike course and run and is designed for women of all ages, sizes, ability levels and backgrounds, providing an opportunity to gain strength and confidence in a supportive environment. The Carnes Crossroads Wellness Fair returns to the Green Barn for the second year on Saturday, Oct. 19. Over 30 fitness professionals, healthcare providers and other wellness professionals are scheduled to showcase their services and products. There will be fitness classes, puppy yoga, a kids’ obstacle course and more, plus pet adoptions from Berkeley Animal Center and mobile blood collections from The Blood Connection. Learn more here.
We’re thrilled to announce what will surely be a highlight of the Fall event season at Carnes: The Drumstick Dash, a festive 5K race produced by Summerville and Charleston area running store Fleet Feet, will take place in our community on Thanksgiving Day. For the first time, Summerville and Goose Creek area residents who love to kick off their Thanksgiving Day with some exercise, competition and fun have a convenient option right in their back yards.
